1995 Saturn SL2 Starter Replacement

1995 Saturn Starter repacement

Tools Needed
  • 10mm socket
  • 14mm socket
  • Rachet
  • Extention
  • 1/2 inch socket
  • Jack and jack stands

First thing you must do disconnect the battery terminals

The starter is located  under the car
 toward the back of the engine

The starter is only held on by 2 bolts
and can be removed by a 1/2 inch socket

before removing the starter you must remove
 3 wires connected to 2 studs on the starter.

I was unable to show you the exact process because it was hard taking pictures under the car.

How to change fix and replace an old faded emblem on a BMW

Car of choice mine is a 91 735i

This is the old faded emblem i will be replacing

 Simply take a small flat head screw driver and slowly go a round
and slowly pry it off. It is only held in by two rubber cylinders.

 Once pulled off this is what you will see.

 Your new emblem will have to prongs on the back of it
simply slid them right in the two holes on the car.
make sure the emblem is up right and not upside down.

Finally you will end up with a shinny like new emblem on your car.

I picked my emblem up off of
it only cost 5 bucks for two of them

these where not like the original though.
the ones i got where made of plastic
where as the stock ones where made of aluminum

Your preference i guess.

1988-1992 bmw 735i distributor cap and rotor replacement

1988-1992 BM 735i

Tools Needed

  • 3mm Allen Wrench
  • 8mm socket
  • ratchet
  • flat head screw driver
 pull the cover off at the front of the engine near the fan.
may need to use a flat head screw driver here

This is what you will see with the cover off.


 You can not see these because the fan in the way but there are 3
8mm bolts that need removed as pointed
on on the new distributor cap going in.

 once the 3 bolts are removed the cap can be taken off
you will now see the rotor inside.

this is removed by 3  3mm Allen wrench bolts

Once removed the new one can be put on same way
the old was was removed.

 Now take the new distributor cap and start moving over the spark plug wires over one by one making sure you are putting them on at the same place there where on the old cap.

it is now ready to be put back on by sliding the cap back over the rotor and putting the 3 8mm bolts back in tightly.

Then the plastic cover can now be snapped back into place.

2007 - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe Fuel Pump Removal / Fuel Sending Unit.

2007-2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

Tools Needed
  • 14mm Socket
  • Ratchet
  • Extension for the Ratchet
  • Flat Head Screw Driver
  • Hammer 

Be sure you do not do this with a full tank of gas

First disconnect the battery
Second open the fuel cap to let pressure out. 

Go to the rear driver side seat
it must be removed first

the front 2 bolts are covered by a plastic cover
which can be removed with a flat head screw driver

once the covers are off you will need to remove these 2
14mm bolts at the front of the seat

There are also to bolts at the back of the seat you must remove
First lay the seat down forward.
Second get your extension with the 14mm and put it between the back of the seat and the trunk area
you will see the two bolts that need removed.

After the 4 bolts are removed holding the seat
 in you will see a little flap covering the
 fuel pump access which is held down by Velcro

This a cover over the fuel pump

the cover is held down by double sided sticky tape it is easily
removed by using a flat head screw driver and
 prying up on it all the way around

Robo Jo is pointing to all the plugs that need disconnected

The red hose is tricky but follow the steps and it will come right off.
It may still have pressure be ready for a little fuel to come out.

 After all the plugs and hoses have been disconnected you will be ready to loosen the ring that hold the fuel pump in .

First stick a flat head screw driver in the slot robo Joe is pointing to and use a hammer to turn the ring counter clock wise.

It takes some hard whacks but will come lose

remove the ring and the fuel pump is ready to come out

pull it out carefully it takes some wiggling

 There will be a hose connected at the bottom remove it but don't drop it back into the gas tank it will need to be reconnected to the new fuel pump.

To put it back in, repeat the steps backwards

How to Change the Battery on a 2000 - 2007 Ford Focus

2000 - 2007 Ford Focus Battery Removal Guide

Tools Needed :
  • Ratchet
  • 10mm socket

Lift the hood and locate the battery

 Loosen the nut at the front of the battery
until you can pull the rod out toward the front of the car.

 Pull the rod out and lift up on the plastic strap going accross the top of the battery.
Pull it strait out  from this point.

Pull the plastic cover off

 loosen the battery turminals

 Now Grab the battery and pull it out

Slid the new battery in

Reverse the steps above to replace the battery.

When you get back in the car your clock will probably be off since you replaced the battery

Buy the battery from them and they will put it in for you.

This is a guide in case you brake down in a shopping center parking lot
and dont have anyone to call and can not drive to a parts store.

How to Replace Blower Fan on a 2001-2007 Chrysler Town and Country Mini Van

How to Replace Blower fan on a 2001- 2007 Chrysler Town and Country Mini Van 
Tools Needed
  • 8mm flat wrench
  • 8mm socket
  • ratchet
  • flat head screwdriver

Disconnect the Battery before working on car.
Go to the passenger side and open the glove box
Empty the Glove box

push in on the out sides of both sides of the glove box.
Pull Towards you

This is what you will see once glove box is down.
Remove the plug on the right side, which powers the fan

There are 5 bolts holding the fan cover on
4 you can get from the bottom
1 has to be removed by opening the glove box.

On the very bottom of the cover
Black arrow - unplug
White Arrow - pull out of wire clip

There is a rubber seal around the power wire going to the fan
you can push the seal in by using a flat head screw driver.

After removing the fan cover and pulling it out from under the dash
you will next need to remove the 3 bolts holding the fan in place.

The Fan then should pull right out.

Its now ready for the new fan replacement

Reverse the steps above to reinstall the fan

after you are finished installing it reconnect your battery and try it out.
